A warm welcome to Kongsfjord General Store!
Welcome to Kongsfjord General Store and Cafe, part of the Guldbrandsen Trading Station, established in 1894 as part of a larger enterprise that included a fish processing plant, shipping office, post office, telegraph station, bakery, general store, and more.
Kongsfjord is one of the very few places in this part of Norway not to have been torced and destroyed during World War II, and has thus been able to preserve these unique buildings.
The Sev. J. Guldbrandsen trading station and dwelling house has over the last few years been restored to its original beauty and is once again buzzing with activity.
Your hosts, Liv and Per Bj. Simble, he himself a grandchild of Sev. J. Gulbrandsen, welcomes you to one of the most beautiful trading stations in northern Norway.
